New Mexico Food Service Awards

Three Las Cruces individuals associated with the food service industry walked away with top honors for 2009 from the New Mexico Restaurant Association. The association’s most prestigious award for Restaurateur of the Year went to Kevin McGrath, owner of It’s Burger Time Restaurants. Chef of the Year for 2009 went to Steven Widmer, Director of Nutritional Services for the Village at Northrise in Las Cruces. New Mexico’s National ProStart Teacher of the Year was awarded to Lisa Campbell from Las Cruces High School.
