History
Started in 1975 by four good ‘ol Texas boys in Austin, the County Line soon expanded into El Paso. The restaurant was billed as the State Line when it moved to El Paso because of its close proximity to the Texas/New Mexico border. The State Line restaurant has won many awards for it’s famous Bar-B-Q ribs and tangy sauce. In the El Paso area specifically, it has received the “Best of the Border 2006” for its Bar-B-Q dishes. The brisket is slow cooked and is tender and lean, the sausage is seasoned just right and the chicken is juicy. For lunch or dinner individual entrées can be ordered from the menu or you can choose the all you can eat family style meal. This option allows your party to dine on the bottomless signature dishes of the State Line and order generous helpings of side dishes that don’t quit until you do! Behind the walls of this Spanish structure lies one of the most beautiful courtyards in the city and has been an oasis for locals and visitors alike. For many years the State Line has been tagged as the place to get “Real Texas Bar-B-Q” and has been serving up slow-smoked dishes in El Paso for 25 years. Go visit the favorite legendary restaurant today!
